We're Parrish Construction, a small design-build remodeling company based in Carmichael — kitchens, baths, fireplaces, and finish carpentry all over the Sacramento area. Two owners, award-winning work (2025 NARI Remodeler of the Year), licensed CA contractor (CSLB #1115328).
We're looking for a journeyman carpenter who can take a task and own it — demo through framing, drywall, backer, door and window sets, trim. You'd be working in occupied homes, so clean work and client courtesy matter as much as the carpentry. Some weeks you're the only one of us on site, so that has to be comfortable for you.
WHAT WE PAY AND OFFER:
- $30–40/hr depending on demonstrated skill — we set the number after a paid, half-day hands-on assessment
- Weekly direct deposit, every Friday
- Medical (Kaiser Gold 80) — we pay up to 75% of the base plan premium — plus Guardian dental/vision

- We fund your NARI Certified Lead Carpenter certification
- Real path to Lead Carpenter ($45+/hr) if you're the right fit
WHAT WE NEED:
- 5+ years residential REMODEL carpentry (not just new construction)
- Framing, drywall, and door-setting you can actually demonstrate — the half-day assessment is on a real task, and we pay you for it whether or not we move forward
- Your own basic hand and power tools (we provide the large/specialty/trade-specific stuff), reliable transportation, valid CA driver's license
- Occasional multi-day travel jobs — drive time paid, mileage, lodging, and per diem covered
