Busy Bees Cafe & Catering is an award-winning, family-owned café and catering company in Capitola. We operate a busy scratch kitchen and bakery producing house-made breads, pastries, cinnamon rolls, desserts, and baked goods for both our café and catering operation.
As Busy Bees continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Baker / Production Baker to join our bakery team.
We're looking for someone who loves baking, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of consistency in a professional production environment.
What You'll Do
• Produce breads, rolls, pastries, cinnamon rolls, cookies, desserts, and other baked goods from scratch
• Mix, scale, shape, proof, bake, and finish products
• Follow established recipes and production standards accurately
• Manage multiple doughs and production timelines
• Prepare baked goods for both café service and large catering orders
• Maintain consistency in quality, size, appearance, and yield
• Properly label, date, rotate, and store ingredients and finished products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe bakery
• Communicate production needs with the kitchen and catering teams
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality
• Help improve production systems as our bakery continues to grow
Who We're Looking For
Professional bakery, pastry, or high-volume production experience is strongly preferred.
We're looking for someone who is:

We're happy to teach you our recipes and our way of doing things. We're looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of professional baking and takes pride in producing excellent food consistently.
