Busy Bees Cafe & Catering is looking for experienced, dependable catering staff to join our team for events throughout Santa Cruz County and surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to earn extra money alongside another job, school, or other commitments. Catering hours vary depending on our event schedule, with shifts available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
We are looking for people who are hardworking, professional, friendly, and comfortable staying busy. Catering is fast-paced and physical—we need team members who see what needs to be done and jump in without having to be constantly directed.
What You'll Do:
Set up and break down catering events
Load and unload catering equipment, food, tables, and supplies
Provide friendly and professional customer service
Serve guests and maintain food/beverage stations
Keep event spaces clean, organized, and presentable
Replenish food, beverages, plates, utensils, and other supplies throughout events
Assist with buffet setup, plated service, passed appetizers, and other styles of service
Help pack, organize, and clean up at the end of events
Drive company vehicles or assist with catering deliveries when needed
Work efficiently as part of a team and help wherever needed
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous catering, banquet, restaurant, hospitality, or event experience
Has excellent customer service skills
Is friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with guests
Is dependable and shows up on time
Can work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Is a team player and willing to jump in wherever needed
Can stay productive without needing constant direction
Is comfortable being on their feet and moving throughout the entire shift
Can safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Has reliable transportation
Has a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Maintains a professional appearance while working events
Schedule:
Hours vary based on our catering and event schedule.
This is not a traditional Monday–Friday position with guaranteed weekly hours. Some weeks may have several available shifts, while others may have fewer.
This makes it an excellent second job or opportunity to earn extra income for someone who wants flexibility and enjoys event work.
Availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays is a plus.
