We are looking for a talented Chef/Cook to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers.
Responsibilities include adhering to recipes and preparing high-quality dishes.
You should be familiar with all Oregon Health Authority food preparation, food storage and kitchen sanitation regulations.
If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we'd like to meet you.
Canby Grove is a beautiful camp and retreat center situated in 54 acres of land along the Molalla River in Canby, Oregon. Our facilities operate year-round and are staffed by full and part-time professionals who help ensure that our guests have an amazing experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Efficiently prepare and cook nutritious meals for groups ranging from 25 to 400 participants according to house recipes, designated schedules and food preparation timelines.
- Follow all Oregon Health Authority guidelines for food handling, preparation and storage as well as facility and equipment cleaning and sanitation.
Pre Requisite Skills:
Ability to follow recipes for menus and improvise when necessary.
Ability to create meals from scratch.
Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen tools, equipment and safety.
Strong customer service skills.
Professional communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent coordination and time management skills.
Understanding of confidentiality and protocol.
**This position is non-exempt, paid hourly
**This position is part-time, scheduled for up to 40 hrs./wk.
**This is a floater/relief position designed to support cooking staff by providing cover for breakfasts, lunches and/or dinners as needed."
