Venture Tiny Homes is looking for an experienced tradesperson to join our custom tiny home manufacturing team in Camarillo. We specialize in high-quality, custom tiny house builds and need someone who can jump in with minimal supervision.
Note: This is NOT an entry-level position. We are looking for candidates with proven, hands-on field experience in residential framing, carpentry, or rough trade installations. We will provide on-the-job training for specialized tiny home techniques, shop workflows, and custom assembly as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rough framing, exterior siding, trim, and finish carpentry on mobile chassis/tiny home units
- Installation of subfloor, wall assemblies, insulation, and roofing
- Assist with or perform basic rough plumbing (PEX/ABS) and electrical rough-ins
- Read and interpret plan sets, cut lists, and structural details accurately
- Operate standard jobsite power tools, chop saws, table saws, and pneumatic nailers safely
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in residential construction, framing, finish carpentry, or general contracting trades
- Tools: Basic hand tools and personal PPE required (specialty power tools provided)
- Skills: Strong understanding of wood framing, structural fasteners, layout, and level/plumb standards
- Traits: Sharp attention to detail, reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work efficiently in a shop/manufacturing environment
- Physical: Able to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders/scaffolding, and stand for extended periods
- Transport: Reliable transportation to our Camarillo shop location
