We are a small, hardworking, and collaborative team that takes pride in what we do, while maintaining an enjoyable and supportive office environment.
We are not simply looking to fill an administrative position. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and career-oriented individual who has the potential to become an integral part of our company's future.
About the Opportunity
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently complete assigned responsibilities without excessive supervision.
While the position will initially involve general administrative and bookkeeping support, our objective is to identify someone capable of eventually assuming full responsibility for the company's day-to-day bookkeeping operations.
For the right individual, this position offers tremendous long-term potential, including advancement into a leadership role, attractive compensation and benefits, and the possibility of an eventual business partnership.
We value initiative, accountability, efficiency, and teamwork. We are seeking someone who takes genuine pride in their work, remains productive throughout the day, and contributes positively to the success of the entire organization.
Primary Responsibilities

- Process, organize, and file invoices, correspondence, and other business documents.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
- Answer incoming calls and professionally assist residents, property owners, vendors, and visitors.
- Assist colleagues with administrative duties, property management projects, and general office operations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure assigned tasks are completed promptly.
- Independently identify outstanding work, prioritize responsibilities, and stay current with daily assignments.
- Contribute to improving office procedures, efficiency, and overall operations.
Qualifications & Expectations
Required:
- Prior administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, or property management office experience.
- Experience using AppFolio property management software, particularly its accounting and bookkeeping functions.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Strong computer proficiency and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and consistently meet deadlines.
- A dependable, punctual, and accountable approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to support colleagues and contribute as a team member.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work on-site in Burlingame.
Preferred:
- Prior property management accounting experience.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, financial statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with residential, commercial, and HOA property management.
- Experience improving administrative workflows and office efficiency.
Our Workplace Expectations
We believe that a successful team depends on mutual respect, accountability, and a shared commitment to excellence.
This is a professional office environment where employees are expected to remain engaged, focused, and productive throughout their scheduled working hours. Personal phone calls, texting, and other non-work-related phone use are prohibited during working time, except in emergencies or other necessary circumstances, and should otherwise be reserved for authorized breaks.
We expect our team members to manage their time effectively, follow through on responsibilities, communicate proactively, and avoid allowing unfinished work to accumulate.
This position is best suited for someone who thrives with responsibility, takes initiative without waiting to be asked, and genuinely enjoys getting things done.
Just as importantly, we value individuals who are approachable, collaborative, and willing to help their colleagues succeed.
