Up for sale is a stunning custom-built Strat from Nicholas Guitars (Connecticut). This isn't a mass-produced assembly-line guitar; it is a hand-crafted instrument built with "Select" grade materials that you typically only find in the $3,000+ boutique market.
The Standout Specs:
The Wood: A rare 1-piece Solid Spalted Alder back (not the 2 or 3 pieces found on standard Fenders) mated to a thick, 1/4" Flame Maple top. The resonance and sustain are immediate.
The Neck: A gorgeous 5A Roasted Maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. Roasted maple is incredibly stable and offers a smooth, "broken-in" feel right out of the box.
The Electronics: Loaded with a set of Seymour Duncan '78 Humbuckers. These are the definitive "Brown Sound" pickups—warm, articulate, and harmonically rich. They handle high gain with ease but clean up beautifully.
The Hardware: Premium Chrome hardware throughout, including a string-through bridge and high-quality locking tuners for rock-solid stability.
Condition & Player’s Notes: The guitar is in excellent functional shape with some minor finish imperfections consistent with a hand-built boutique instrument.
Setup: The action is currently set very low for fast, effortless playing. Because of the tight tolerances, there is a slight buzz on the low E string at the first fret (F). While it doesn't come through the amp, a player with a heavy right-hand attack may want to add a hair of relief to the truss rod or a minor spot-level to the 2nd fret to suit their specific style.
