This is a 368 original mile Sportster with the very rare, three month only offered, limited edition factory custom painted, two tone Dark/light Root Beer metallic paint scheme, offered only in January through March 2009.
It is all factory original without any modifications, including the Harley Davidson tires, and is still under the 500 mile break in mileage. It is truly a brand new time capsule bike.
The gold and magenta pinstripes and gas tank graphics are all under the heavy clear coat. There are not any scrapes, scratches, chips, or touch ups to the heavy metallic paint, which looks absolutely amazing in the sunlight.
The underside of the gas tank was signed by the HD custom painter.
Outstanding chrome, (See notes below), and polished aluminum.
Never ridden in the rain.
The bike presents as new.
The engine is the last year of the air cooled 1200cc Evolution “EVO” big twin.
Electric start, with computer controlled fuel injection.
4 stroke 9:7:1 compression, with 73.4 cubic inches.
No leaks or seeps anywhere.
Factory exhaust pipes have the traditional big Harley Davidson thump thump sound.
Very powerful.
Transmission is the six speed, with belt drive.
Large 4.5 gallon fuel tank.
Disc brakes front and rear.
The wheels/tires are 16” cast rear, and 21” chrome spoked front.
Tires do not have any wear, cracks, or weather checking.
Starts nice and drives, shifts, and stops as it should.
A new Harley Davidson signature battery has been installed, along with a new fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump/starter relays, fuel line, and quick release tank check valve.
History:
I purchased this motorcycle with 367 miles from the original owner in July 2026.
The owner had purchased the Sportster new from the original Van Nuys CA Harley Davidson dealership, (Closed in 2017), in April 2009, with 8 miles on the odometer.
Build date was February 2009, at the Kansas City assembly plant.
Until my purchase, it had been sitting covered in an air conditioned garage here in Burbank, CA since approximately 2012, after a health scare that stopped him from riding.

Currently under the California Non-Operational (Non-Op) status in my name.

Notes:
Each of the rear turn signal chrome housing outer edges have a 3/8” diameter scuff.
The right mirror has a small chrome scuff on the arm top bend and the upper mirror corner.
The under side of the chrome exhaust pipes have a thin 1/8” wide pencil line scrape, and the outer corner of the rear pipe has a dime size scrape.
There is an outstanding HD recall notice #0613 from 2021 to replace the gas cap/filler. It is free at any Harley Davidson dealer in the USA.
Sale comes with a cover, Owners Manual, Shop parts manual, Van Nuys Harley Davidson license plate frame and key fob, and a Binder with copies of original Title, and other HD data.
Located 5 minutes South of the Burbank CA airport.
We may provide a ride, if you decide to fly in from another state and ride home.
There is also a U-Haul nearby with vans, trucks, and motorcycle trailers.
