Authentic vintage 1972 Telecaster neck. A rare example of the elusive, large Tele necks with very thin poly finishes that were made in the early 70s. This very cool neck has been stashed away in a collection of mainly 50s and 60s Tele necks, and is actually chunkier than almost all of them.
This "3 MAR 72 B" neck measures 1.61" wide at nut and 2.00" wide at 12th fret, and 0.933" thick at 1st and 0.965" thick at 12th fret. The headstock averages about 0.60" thick, and the heel is 2.199" wide.
The original, very thin polyurethane finish shows lots of wear all over, and is worn off along sides. The original frets are worn out and need to be replaced to play. The decal is original. It's never had non-original tuners on it. No tuners are included but the original bushings are included. Truss rod functions properly.
One of the coolest Fender necks I've ever handled, and that includes hundreds from the 50s and 60s.
