About us
Klein Family Construction builds high-end composite decks and porches across the Birmingham area. We're a growing, family-owned business, and we're adding to our crew.
We're hiring at three levels
Helper – $17–20/hr
Great for someone starting out in the trades. Show up on time, work hard, and we'll teach you how to build decks and porches the right way.
Carpenter – $22–27/hr
You have deck, framing, or finish carpentry experience and can run a phase of a job, from footings and framing to decking and railing, with minimal supervision.
Lead Carpenter – $60–70k salary + performance bonus
You've run or co-run a crew. You'll lead our crew in the field, keep jobs on schedule, train others, and be the main on-site contact for homeowners. This is a long-term leadership role.

Takes pride in clean, precise work
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors
Composite decking experience (Trex, TimberTech, Deckorators) a plus
Comfortable using a phone app and technology for daily logs and photos
