I'm selling a used Freight Baggage sling-type messenger bag. I am the original owner of this. Purchased new in San Francisco in 2008 and used by me; sadly the company is now out of business. Pre-owned Freight Bags are highly sought-after by enthusiasts and collectors for their excellent craftsmanship, real-world patina, and authentic, messenger-built designs. These bags are bombproof and will last decades of heavy use. You'll notice that these pieces often sell for $1200+ on eBay.
I believe it is a size L. Approximate dimensions are 15.5 x 10" at the base, and 13" deep from the bottom to top of closure. The front flap is 24"x15" wide for plenty of covering. This works out to ~ 34 L volume. It can hold a ton. As a student, I used to carry a laptop, chargers, several large textbooks, etc. The pictures here show the bag with four large toner cartridge boxes inside.
Made out of heavy-duty Nylon Cordura (grey) with waterproof vinyl interior lining (red). Many utility pockets both outside and inside the main pouch. Highly adjustable shoulder strap with excellent, soft padding.
This bag is the real deal in terms of the quality, heavy-duty construction that Freight was known for. I put it through 5 years of daily use, and although it shows some wear and grime, it is still in very solid shape and is ready to be someone else's stylish workhorse. Briefly put, the top and back are in great shape and quite clean; the bottom of the bag could use a gentle spot-clean.
Please look carefully at the detailed photos. There is some fraying, scuffing, and staining to the outer cordura, and wrinkles in the vinyl waterproofing. The velcro is in good condition and works well. All of the cinch-straps and buckles are present and in good condition with a small amount of fraying, with one exception: the removable cross-strap that connects the side of the bag across your chest to the shoulder strap is missing. This is a standard-sized buckle that should be easy to be sourced if desired.
