Located in the safe, quiet nature of the North Berkeley Hills neighborhood, this private studio cottage is set behind our mid-century modern house. Neighborhood is quiet and friendly, near La Loma Park, full of bird songs in the morning. It’s a 10-min bike or 20-min walk down to the UC Berkeley campus. Commuting uphill home from UC campus adds another 20-minutes to your walk and some cardio, or via pedal assist bike, or on the 65 bus, or a 10-min drive by car (there is ample street parking). For nature lovers, you can walk up 5 flights of stepped walking paths to reach Tilden Park for many miles of hiking/running/cycling in nature.

The cottage is in a secluded backyard glen of oak trees and ferns, entered thru a locked side gate. It has a simple, modern interior with one enormous window with an unobstructed hills view, new wood-laminate floors, a big closet, a separate bathroom with a shower, and new kitchenette with under-counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and hot plate.

The cozy and bright studio comes furnished with a full-size bed, bookcase, table and chairs. Kitchenette is stocked with all the basics (plates, bowls, pans, cutlery, etc). Perfect for a student, post-doc, or visiting professor. Just bring your laptop and clothes.

Free shared washer/dryer (accessed through our garage)

Garbage, recycling, and wifi included. Utilities additional $150 (water, PGE)

Non-smoker. Street parking only. No sublets. Sorry, no pets. We have two friendly dogs that may greet you in the yard.
