1. UNLINED COPPER INSERT BOWL
Used only a handful of times, this unlined copper insert bowl is in great condition. It fits inside the 4.5 quart stainless steel bowl which are designed for use with the wire whisk which is a standard attachment for Kitchenaid tilt-up head style mixers. (You can use with your own stainless steel bowl or purchase the one offered as part of this listing).
NOTE: the copper insert bowl CANNOT be used with glass or ceramic mixing bowls.
Professional chefs use copper bowls for whipping tasks where air, volume and light consistency are key, such as egg whites, whipping cream, and other baked goods ingredients.
This copper insert bowl was manufactured by Atlas Metal Spinning Company exclusively for use with KitchenAid mixers.
Atlas Metal Spinning Company was founded in South San Francisco in the 1950s and was known for heavy spun-metal cookare, include this copper bowl. The company is no longer in business and Kitchenaid no longer sells copper insert bowls for its mixers. As such, this is a very rare opportunity to own a piece of Bay Area culinary history that is highly practical for inspired home cooks.

This is the standard stainless steel mixing bowl, 4.5 quart size, for tilt-up head style Kitchenaid mixers. Used only a handful of times.
