sup.
i'm lacking a scene. maybe it exists and idk where it is. maybe we need to build it.
i do hardware electronic music. Would love to connect with other like minded artists. People who are into modular, dawless. Not really djs (no shade, just looking for a scene that avoids pre-recorded tracks).
What happens in the scene? uh, idk, spitballing here:
- synth jams
- live music performances
- music collabs
- making and releasing records
- fusion of hardware electronic music with other art styles - like if you wanted to build a interpretive dance performance or play or something else with hardware electronic, sure sounds cool.
If I had to say style-wise, ideally something less conformist to whatever's popular. This could me 'experimental' (the most meaningless word in music but a catch all term). Or i mean you could do your techno or whatever, but maybe, do something different with it? Basically I'd love to connect with people tryin ta do their own thing but its totally cool of you're inspired by all the other things, cause i am too.
about me:
- old school raver but retired. yea i been to home base and the dungeon. i'm burning man retired too.
- full time musician/artist for the time being
- dawless synth nerd that plays uh avant-garde pixel futurism, or something.
- i like to make records and i'm a decent mix engineer (and in mastering school)
- i like production, got a decent PA
- i dabble in interactive art
- i got a nice creative workspace in berkeley
so yea, there's a lot here cause, i'm not entirely sure what i'm looking for and yet, i know there's got to be more out there, even if we gotta build it ourselves. i'm all about the music and art, you are too.
