Almonds and Elephants is looking for a drummer/percussion player to join us for occasional shows around Berkeley/East Bay.
The music is melodic, mostly acoustic indie/folk-pop — short songs, vocal harmonies, Beatles influenced. You can find Almonds and Elephants on Spotify/Apple Music/etc. to hear the recordings:
This is a low-key project, not a professional touring band. We’ll probably play a show roughly once a quarter around Berkeley, with a rehearsal or two beforehand. Gigs/rehearsals are unpaid for now — everyone involved is doing it because they like the music and want to play.
Looking for someone who:
Plays drum set or percussion comfortably and has good musical instincts
Can learn fairly simple arrangements from recordings
Is reliable and easygoing
Lives reasonably close to Berkeley
Bonus if you sing harmonies, but not required
You don’t need to be a virtuoso. Musical taste, listening, and being enjoyable to rehearse with matter more.
