Super resonant space that's ideal for unamplfied singing
Live percussion & keyboard available to clarify ideas
Bobby McFerrin codified one of the most effective & truly fun approaches for making spontaneous group vocal music. A leader in the center of a circle creates different parts on-the-spot, changes parts, invites people to solo, etc. Anyone can lead or just sing.
* Have you wanted to sing in this form ?
* Already sung in this form & want to get deeper in ?
* Have you wanted to lead a circle but don’t know how to focus & ground your ideas ?
* Already lead but are feeling stuck in how to generate new ideas & grooves ?
* Are you an instrumentalist & want a deeper connection to your improvising thru your voice ?
* A songwriter or composer who wants to apply this form for creating new originals ?
This workshop will get you clear about your natural tendencies as an improvisor, making it
much easier to build your vocabulary & skills. You’ll get coached in real-time in how to
make compelling parts & use real musical language to generate the confidence to improvise
in any situation.
You don't need to have a big voice, or tons of experience singing, just your deep listening & generosity . . . pre-registration requested.
