Great price for someone looking to try one of Danny Hess’s boards. Professional repairs to nose and tail as shown in photos and reflected in the price.
The Ranger was developed by iconic San Francisco shaper Danny Hess to merge the blistering down-the-line speed of a quad fish with the hold and vertical pocket capability of a high-performance shortboard. Featuring a wide-point outline pulled into a refined round tail, it reduces planing area at the back to allow smooth, rail-to-rail transitions when waves get steep, punchy, or hollow. Hess’s signature construction pairs wood deck skins and perimeter rails with an EPS core to deliver durable flex and rebound projection, designed typically to be surfed 4 to 6 inches shorter than a standard shortboard. The pictured custom build is sized at 5'10" x 20.625" x 2.5"
