Does your high school senior need support in the last few days before the Early Action/Early Decision deadline? I can work with your student to refine their Common Application essay and supplementals and do any final checks on their applications before submission.
As a PhD candidate in English at Stanford University with a background in copywriting, I have the teaching and editorial skills to support your child in these last few stressful weeks before their college applications are due. In particular, I specialize in storytelling and narrative, thematic cohesion (identifying the “so what?” of the essay and the application as a whole), highlighting students' strengths and leadership qualities, and cutting and revision.
Students I have worked with have been admitted to Stanford, UC Berkeley, Boston University, and more.
I offer synchronous sessions in person (local to the Bay Area) and over Zoom. My rate is $100-150 per session, sliding scale.
