Your first session will be held onsite at our Berkeley facility, near the 4th Street shops. This allows us to walk you through the protocol in person and make sure you're set up for success. After that, you'll have the option to continue onsite or participate from home:
- Onsite (Berkeley, CA): Sessions are held at our facility near the 4th Street shops. Everything is provided, just show up. A trained coordinator will be on-site, meals are included, and conditions are fully standardized. First session runs approximately 5–6 hours. Follow up sessions will take less than 4 hours.
- In Home-Use Testing (IHUT): After completing your first five onsite sessions, you may participate remotely using your own laptop or PC. All necessary materials will be sent to you, and remote support is available throughout.
This study has been modeled from an IRB-approved method for consumer experience testing. Please note that participant health and safety remains top priority while gathering this data.
What to expect:
- Compensation: $80 per session (with transportation cost reimbursed for onsite participants)
- Cadence: Biweekly
- Commitment: We're looking for participants who can join sessions throughout the full year (approximately 20 sessions total).
This is not a hard requirement, but year-long participation is strongly preferred. Returning participants will be prioritized for scheduling.
Anyone who completes the form by October 15 will be considered. However, completing the form earlier will increase your chances of securing a seat.
