Why choose the BSC? It's an opportunity to live in Berkeley without the price tag, with our rates being far below market average. Attending UC Berkeley? We're only steps away from the campus. Attend another college/university? We've got you covered! We offer housing to all students enrolled in a minimum of half-time units.
Our 17 houses come with fully furnished rooms, shared kitchens (fully stocked with food during the Fall/Spring), laundry, fast Wi-Fi, and more! We also have 3 apartment complexes.
Living within the BSC has the added benefit of learning skills that will stick with a graduate as they prepare to transition to the real-world, such as: budgeting, maintenance, and governance (your house, your say).
The BSC welcomes all identities and lived experiences. With theme houses like women’s-only spaces, POC-centered communities, and our LGBTQ+ house, there’s a place for everyone to feel at home.
