This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable working independently overnight, understands the importance of safety and reliability, and has experience supporting individuals with significant mobility needs, including assistance with meal prep, toileting, transfers, and medication.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive overnight supervision and support
- Assist with toileting and personal care
- Assist with transfers and repositioning
- Provide wheelchair and mobility assistance
- Respond promptly to needs that arise during the night
- Assist with morning or evening routines as scheduled
- Follow the individual's support plan and established safety procedures
- Document services and relevant events accurately
- Be physically capable of assisting a person with substantial mobility limitations
- Provide assistance during an emergency or evacuation
- Maintain the individual's dignity, privacy, independence, and personal choice at all times
We're Looking for Someone Who Is:
- **Extremely dependable** — overnight coverage is critical
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
- Patient, respectful, and calm under pressure
- Able to work independently and use good judgment
- Comfortable supporting an individual who uses a wheelchair full-time
- Able to safely perform required transfers and physical assistance using the individual's approved equipment and procedures
- Experienced with developmental disability services, caregiving, CNA work, DSP services, or similar support preferred
### Schedule
**Overnight shift:** approximately **8:00 PM – 8:00 AM**
Full-time or part-time overnight schedules may be available depending on availability.
### Compensation
**Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.**
This is not simply a "sleeping overnight" position. The individual has significant physical support needs, and the caregiver must remain available and responsive throughout the shift.
