Very rare original hand carved Mahogany sideboard circa 1865. This piece is flawless with amazing , beveled mirrors, two side fronts and side glass with shelving to show off dishes or other items. Drawer pulls are fancy made of burnished brass. Front of sideboard folds down creating a leather writing surface. Three small hidden drawers used for mail, keys jewelry or other items. Has original skeleton keys. Glass fronts are inlaid with carved decorations and intricate carvings surround the entire sideboard. Would look amazing in a front hallway or any area of a home where it could be viewed and admired. The chance of finding a piece like this in my opinion would be like finding a need in a haystack. I have the original appraisal from 1976 valuing this sideboard at $3,000 that was 50 years ago!
