Has the following option packages that the base Sport, XLT, and SE models do not have. The cost difference new between the base Explorer model and the 302A Limited model (which this one is) was almost $10K in 2013, so please don't compare this one to lesser models. The original window sticker is also shown in one of my pictures along with the original owners manuals, case and handouts.
The Limited 302A package was $6460 over the base model and included Sport mode for the 6 speed automatic transmission with manual shifting option which is excellent and fun on mountain roads, interior ambient lighting, duel zone heating/air conditioning, front/rear parking sensors, turn signals in the side mirrors as well as heating, power liftgate, active park assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, Collision Warning with Brake Support, rain-sensing wipers, HID headlamps with automatic high beams, BLIS Plus Inflatable Rear Seatbelt Package with Blind Spot Information System, Cross Traffic Alert, and second row outboard seating inflatable seatbelts, Luxury Seating Package with PowerFold 3rd row seat, perforated leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, and 10-way power passenger seat with power lumbar, Voice-Activated Navigation System with in-dash screen, single CD/MP3 player, SD card for map and POI storage, and integrated SIRIUS Travel Link. color keyed console/dash trim/brushed aluminum accents, keyless start/remote start, incredible 14 speaker 550 watt Sony sound system with Bluetooth and back up cam, leather wrapped heated steering wheel with controls for SYNC/HVAC/Radio, duel front, knee and side impact airbags, garage door controls on illuminated sun visors, 20" painted wheels, larger brakes and sway bars, adjustable roof rack and heavier duty radiator.
Here are the additional 5 option packages this one has in addition to the above 302A Limited package:
1- Pearl White Tri-Coat Metallic. 3 stage gorgeous heavy metallic paint was a $495 option over the base Escape colors. Changes tone in various lighting!
2- Factory Tow Package. Includes larger radiator, tow hitch and wiring connector for trailer brakes/lights. Was a $570 option.
3-Dual Panel Moonroof with sliding screens $1,595
4- All weather rubber floor mats. Was a $75 option and they prtect the original carpeted mats that have never been stepped on.
5- Polished 20" Forged wheels. Was a $595 option. Much nicer than the the painted and machined other wheels offered.
No leaks, rattles, seeps or odors. Almost all freeway miles between weekly trips between Palm Springs and Livermore. Have clear CA title in hand and tags are good through May, 2017. All synthetic fluids, filters, and services done on time or before. Brand new battery, tune up, synthetic fluids/filters, oxygen sensors, front and rear tires, sway bar end links, struts, control arms, ball joints, strut mounts, tie rods, springs, alignment and brakes. This Explorer needs NOTHING for a very long time. Only OEM or better parts used since new. Great factory 14 speaker Sony premium sound system with back up cam, CD and Bluetooth for talking on the phone handsfree and music streaming.
Needs nothing to hop in and go anywhere, anytime. Immaculate original heated and cooled Light Stone leather seats look and smell like new. No rips, stains, tears, or odors. Never been smoked in or eaten in. Seats 7 comfortably. Beautiful original Pearl White Tri-Coat Metallic paint has been professionally waxed and detailed often and is a stunning color! No paint work, fading, or scratches. Never any pets or kids inside. Garage kept and has been ceramic coated which keeps things from sticking to the paint and gives it a deep shine and looks wet when dry.
Cheap and easy to maintain, insure and repair. GREAT comfortable and SAFE SUV. Both sets of rear seats fold down flat to fit larger items. Has spare tire under trunk mat.
Perfect for your student, loved one, first time driver or YOU!! You will not find a better vehicle of any brand for under $14k like this one. Cheaper to maintain and fix than any Honda, Toyota or Nissan and lots of life left in it! Way more simple and easier to maintain over newer models too!!
Don't let the 150K miles worry you, they were 90% freeway and this Explorer Limited looks/drives/feels like a 30K mile vehicle. Will sell to the first person that sees and drives it! Freshly detailed in and out and priced to sell fast. Vehicle looks, runs and drives like it should!! The problematic water pump that are issues on these has already been replaced with the updated trouble free unit. A/C blend doors also replaced with the ones with brass gears instead of the original plastic gears which crack and break. A/C system was just redone too with new A/C compressor, dryer, o-rings, and Freon. Blows ice cold!! EVERYTHING works as intended. There are sero issues.
