We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects throughout the Baltimore/Washington region. This is a hands-on, field-based position involving construction observation, materials testing, documentation, and travel to active construction sites.
Pay: Up to $25/hour

We’re looking for a reliable Field Technician to join our construction testing team. No prior experience required—we’ll provide training and help you earn industry certifications.
What You’ll Do
Perform field testing and observations for soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and foundations
Test soil/aggregate density and assist with concrete testing
Observe excavation, grading, fill placement, proofrolling, and foundation work
Document results and complete electronic daily reports
Communicate findings with engineers, project managers, and contractors
Maintain and safely operate testing equipment
Assist with field investigations and other construction-related projects
What You Need
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Able to walk uneven terrain, bend/kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional
Basic computer/smartphone skills
Construction or field experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule
Primarily outdoor, field-based work. Early mornings, overtime, and occasional evenings, nights, or weekends may be required depending on project needs.
