Job Description: We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Flooring Installer Assistant to join our busy installation team. You will work directly with our lead flooring installers to prep job sites, handle materials, and assist with laying hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, engineered hardwood, and rubber. No prior professional certification is required, but a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude are a MUST. We are willing to train the right person who wants to learn a valuable trade.
Key Responsibilities: Prep job sites - Move furniture, remove old flooring, and clean or level subfloors. Handle materials: Load, unload, and transport heavy flooring boxes, tools, and equipment to and from the work area. Assist installation - Measure, cut, and fit materials (underlayment, planks, tiles, and baseboards) using hand and power tools. Maintain safety & cleanliness - Keep the work area tidy, manage waste disposal, and follow safety protocols on site. Communicate professionally - Represent the company well in client homes and commercial spaces.
Requirements & QualificationsPhysical stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and spend long hours standing, bending, or kneeling.
Reliability: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to job sites, and a dependable track record for showing up on time. MUST be available FULL TIME
Tools experience: Basic familiarity with standard hand and power tools (utility knives, tape measures, saws) is a strong plus.Attitude: Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and a team-player mindset.
