Looking for a responsible and dependable backup delivery driver who is available in the afternoons to cover the route only when It Is needed.
The route typically starts at around 2:00 PM and is usually completed In 4-5 hours, all should be done by 7pm. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, and you will need to use your own vehicle. Any vehicles will work except pickup trucks.
The job consists of medical deliveries with relatively few stops. Most of the route is driving, your work miles will be between 70-120. Route runs Wednesday through Sunday, but you would only be needed as a backup when I take time off. I will normally give you at least one or several days of advance notice. There may also be opportunities to cover other drivers routes when they need time off.
The job is straightforward, routes are 365 days per year and previous delivery experience is preferred but not required. Reliability, availability, and good communication are the most important things. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., often load Is much less then that, and you should have a folding dolly. Best Is, If you are close to I 70 and Peoria St. In Aurora. You have to learn the route for 2 days with me, for the second day we will split the money.
