- Set up one managed switch (10–24 ports) plus router/firewall on a wall rack or shelf
- DHCP scope, static reservations, and a clean IP plan for the bench area
- Isolate the bench network from our office network (separate VLAN or dedicated router) while keeping outbound internet
- Set up network booting (PXE/iPXE) so we can boot diagnostic and drive-wipe tools without USB sticks — FOG, Clonezilla SE, netboot.xyz, ShredOS/nwipe, or your preferred stack
- Run and terminate the patch cables to the bench positions, label everything, test the runs
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Hands-on IT / field service / refurb or ITAD experience
- Comfortable configuring a small business router and managed switch (UniFi, pfSense/OPNsense, or similar)
- Actual experience with PXE / network booting. This is the part that matters most to us
- Can terminate and test Ethernet, mount gear, and manage cable neatly
