Rare Hybrid? Epiphone Resonator A/E guitar w/Gig bag - Mahogany - $389 (Athens)

This guitar is a bit of a mystery and you will be hard pressed to find another identical one. The paper label inside the upper body cavity states its a Model Spider, while the 2-ply truss rod cover states "The Biscuit". It was upgraded with an under-saddle pickup with a strap button input jack which allows connection to an amp.
It seems like a HYBRID combining parts of two different guitar models. Its 19 frets, 24.75″ scale length, round neck that attaches to the body at the 14th fret, sealed tuners on a conventional headstock and 6-ply front body binding are typical of the Epiphone biscuit model but its Spider bridge, metal coverplate with fan patterns and 2 mesh-covered soundholes & 3 holes below fingerboard are typical of the Epiphone spider model. Overall this guitar is in very good condition with only a few small dings on the back of the neck and some small dots of shiny lacquer on the bottom front. The guitar plays well and sounds great, especialy considering its thin body. Action is set for slide use being 3.5mm at low E and 3mm at high E at the 12th fret, with plenty of saddle left if you wanted to lower the action. See photos. Stand out from the crowd with this nice looking and great playing guitar. This "Hybrid" resonator would make a fine addition to any guitar collection. Includes Epiphone Resonator A/E guitar and padded Roadrunner Gig Bag only, NO stand. Low ball offers will be ignored.
