Job Opening: Field Laborer / Apprentice
Semmes & Co. Builders, Inc., a General Contractor, seeks highly motivated construction technicians to execute field activities for high-end custom residential builds in San Luis Obispo County. Responsibilities:
Build some of the County’s most uniquely creative homes, where each structure is a work of art.
Learn about innovative building materials for the best in sustainability, performance, and beauty, while working alongside true artisans.
Maintain reliable work with a reputable organization, while enjoying a supportive work environment with opportunity for advancement.
Required Skills:
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery
Basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and material calculations
Knowledge of job site safety practices and OSHA regulations
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing, climbing ladders, working outdoors)
Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work as part of a crew
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities on the job site
Reliable transportation to various job sites
Maintain a clean driving record.
Possession of tools is a plus

This is a full-time position with benefits. Starting compensation ranges from $20-$35 per hour depending on experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
Classification: Full-time, Hourly / Non-Exempt
Schedule: M-F / 8 hrs / Start time: 7:30 am / End Time: 4 pm
Compensation: $20-$35
