We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled concrete formsetter who can independently handle layout, read construction plans, calculate elevations, establish grades, and set forms accurately with minimal supervision.
Applicants must have proven hands-on experience in concrete formsetting and the technical knowledge necessary to lead forming operations in the field. This position is not intended for laborers, apprentices, or individuals who require training in basic layout, grade calculations, or formsetting.

Projects include high-end residential driveways, steps, patios, sidewalks, slabs, walls, landings, and detailed flatwork requiring accuracy, attention to detail, and a high level of craftsmanship.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expert-level concrete formsetting experience
- Excellent ability to read and interpret construction plans and details
- Strong understanding of measurements, elevations, grades, slopes, and drainage
- Ability to accurately establish elevations and calculate grade changes
- Extremely strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lay out complex steps, landings, driveways, transitions, curves, and elevations
- Proficient with lasers, levels, tapes, string lines, and other layout tools
- Ability to identify potential problems with elevations, drainage, or layout before concrete is placed
- Understands how formwork, reinforcement, slopes, thickness, and finish elevations work together
- Able to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Able to lead and direct a small crew
- Takes ownership of the finished product and does not cut corners
- Reliable, organized, and takes pride in craftsmanship
Responsibilities:
- Layout and set forms accurately according to plans and specifications
- Establish and verify elevations, grades, slopes, and drainage
- Set forms for driveways, steps, patios, sidewalks, slabs, walls, and detailed concrete work
- Verify dimensions, elevations, squareness, and grade before concrete placement
- Read plans and translate dimensions and elevations into accurate field layout
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades when necessary
- Lead the forming crew and maintain productivity and quality
- Troubleshoot field conditions and make adjustments when needed
- Ensure projects are properly prepared and ready for inspection and concrete placement
Pay: Competitive based on experience and skill level $32-38 an hour
