Position: Field Supervisor
Location: Multiple locations throughout Southern California (LA County and OC County) - over see 8 locations

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to oversee janitorial operations across multiple Southern California locations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for staff supervision, scheduling, payroll, quality control, inventory, client relations, safety, and contractual compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and an effective leader with strong janitorial experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Staff & Operations
• Supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate janitorial staff across multiple locations.
• Create schedules, ensure appropriate coverage, and manage vacation requests and on-call staffing.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, uniforms, performance, and compliance with company and client standards.
• Conduct two inspections per location per month and implement corrective action or improvement plans as needed.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, training, and performance improvement plans when necessary.
• Address employee concerns and report workplace injuries to HR within 24 hours.
• Supervise school floor crews during summer operations and work one weekend per month at seven-day accounts.
• Ensure services meet contractual requirements and client expectations.
Quality Control & Client Relations
• Visit assigned locations 2–3 times per week and conduct semi-monthly compliance inspections using CompuClean.
• Identify and promptly address cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and service issues.
• Meet with clients weekly or biweekly to gather feedback, maintain satisfaction, and resolve concerns, ideally within 24 hours.
• Maintain professional and effective communication with clients, employees, and management.
Payroll & Administration
• Review and submit accurate weekly/biweekly timesheets and payroll information.
• Monitor overtime, meal payment premiums, and required contract hours by location.
• Maintain accurate employee rosters, schedules, attendance, performance, training, and on-call records.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary costs, and streamline operations.
• Use Microsoft Office, scheduling, timekeeping, cleaning performance, and mobile applications for reporting, communication, employee monitoring, and payroll.
Inventory & Supplies
• Monitor inventory levels, usage trends, discrepancies, and potential waste or shrinkage.
• Order and distribute supplies/equipment monthly while maintaining budget and inventory controls.
• Collect soiled rags weekly and replenish clean linens across assigned locations.
Safety, Compliance & Vehicles
• Enforce cleaning procedures, safety protocols, health/environmental requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct monthly training on the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure employees maintain required uniforms: company shirt, black work pants, belt when applicable, and slip-resistant black shoes.
• Inspect company vehicles, report maintenance issues, follow required maintenance schedules, and submit monthly mileage reports.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning-related tasks; lift up to 25 lbs.; climb ladders and work at heights when required; and work in indoor/outdoor environments with exposure to dirt, dust, disinfectants, solvents, and cleaning chemicals. Must be able to safely drive during daytime and evening hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
• 5+ years of janitorial experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
• Experience with payroll, scheduling, timekeeping, and employee supervision.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel between multiple locations.
• Must pass DOJ and FBI Live Scan background checks and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing, with periodic testing as required.
• Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and/or split shifts.
