Bass & Drums Rhythm Section needed for 3 events
We will be a 3 piece providing music for the following events at an event space in Aptos.
10/31 Halloween
11/21 Thanksgiving Food Drive
12/19 Christmas Toy Drive
3 hr. set. 7-10 pm
one 20 min. break 8:20
Must have gigging experience
Must have reliable transportation
Drummer must be able to play at conversation level. A very simple set-up is fine. Kick, Snare, High-hat can suffice but add-on as necessary.
Bass player must play standing up.
No heavy drinking or bad drunks and/or drugs. Please don’t wait for the gigs for me to find out. Or there just won’t be a next gig.
This is a job, not a chill “hey its cool im a rock-star, lets party” mentality. You are part of a production of sorts for these events and there will be a lot of other stuff going on. Be professional, alert and on point please.
There’s a lot more opportunity for work.
Must Practice once before Halloween 10/31. I can send recordings. You will be backing me, but music will be bass/drum dance oriented. Ideally a bay-area rhythm section that already works together. just jamming these songs. Having subtle notes on stage are OK.
$150 each per gig plus split tips 3-ways.
$50 each per 3 hr rehearsal.
No food or drink provided at these gigs.
Here’s a rough song list there will be key changes to fir fit vocals. usually half an octave. Im a baritone. but you get the idea. All high energy bar/restaurant favorites.
