I am looking for a patient and experienced one-on-one teacher for my 7-year-old son. He has developmental and language delays. He can read simple words and sentences, count well, and understand simple instructions, but he sometimes has difficulty maintaining attention and participating in activities that do not interest him.
We are looking for someone with experience in special education, autism, speech and language development, or behavioral teaching. The teacher should be warm, playful, patient, and able to build trust through games, songs, books, and activities before gradually introducing learning tasks.
Our goals include improving communication, attention, social interaction, early reading, simple math, and following directions. In-home teaching is preferred. Please contact me with your experience, availability, location, and hourly rate.
