This technician was a 20 year employee. When he did the oil filter change, instead of turning off oil, unscrewed filter into a bucket to change it...he decided to run the furnace til no oil was in the lines and oil filter. That way he had no oil to deal with when unscrewed the filter. THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU RUIN THE FURNACE BY RUNNING IT WITHOUT OIL. Just like a car.
Steven is taking a dangerous shortcut that damages oil furnaces.

Educate yourself on what they are supposed to do so that when they do harm to your furnace, you can have it documented by letter to owner of company and the company will need to pay for the damage they have done. Unfortunately, the company stood behind employee and claimed that 5 minutes will not hurt it. It was 30 minutes. I was watching. They were not there.
