Overview:
We are hiring a qualified Architect capable of preparing, reviewing, and submitting examiner-ready drawings and documents, including Professional Certification (Pro‑Cert) filings. The ideal candidate understands NYC Building Code, Zoning Resolution, and DOB procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare full drawing sets for NB, Alt‑1, Alt‑2, and Alt‑3 filings
Perform code analysis: egress, accessibility, fire protection, zoning compliance
Prepare and submit Pro‑Cert filings when applicable
Respond to examiner objections with clear, code‑referenced corrections
Coordinate with engineers, expediters, and project managers
Review TR‑1/TR‑8 requirements, energy code compliance, and drainage/DPW documentation
Ensure all drawings meet DOB standards for approval
Requirements:
NYS Registered Architect (RA) preferred; candidates with Pro‑Cert experience strongly considered
3+ years of experience with NYC DOB filings
Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, Zoning Resolution, and Energy Code
Ability to produce clean, examiner-ready drawing sets
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related software
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience.
