Apex Systems is seeking a Field Chemist to join a growing environmental services company in the Albany, NY area. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or science professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in hazardous waste management, environmental compliance, and field operations. What You'll Do
Travel to customer sites including laboratories, universities, and industrial facilities
Identify, package, label, and document chemical waste for transportation and disposal
Assist with hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection projects
Work directly with customers and internal teams
Maintain compliance with safety, DOT, and environmental regulations
Drive company vehicles (CDL training provided)
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related science field
Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
Comfortable working in both laboratory and field environments
Valid driver's license
Willingness to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement (company-sponsored training available)
Strong communication and customer service skills
