Selling my vintage Bedrock 1400. If you’re looking at this, you probably already know the deal with these. They were built in Massachusetts in the late 80s / early 90s and are essentially hand-built "boutique" amps from before that term became a massive marketing buzzword.
Tonally, this is very much in the hot-rodded British camp—think a cross between a vintage Marshall Plexi and a JCM800, but with a lot more gain on tap and a tighter low end. Thanks to the massive transformers Bedrock used, it is easily the loudest, punchiest 50-watt amp I’ve ever plugged into.
I’ve had it for a two years or so. Only thing I’ve done to it is replace the power cord, new Svetlana Winged C EL34s and set the bias.
It is a monster amp and more than what I need right now.
