This is an ideal UPS if your primary goal is to endure a power failure and have time to save your documents and shut down. It has a single replaceable internal battery, so it's not intended to endure a long power outage. The downloadable software from APC allows you to view further power and event details from your PC and, most importantly, configure your PC to respond to power outages (for example, by shutting down gracefully when the battery is running out.)
I'm also selling a larger APC UPS with a huge battery pack if you're looking for a beefy collection of batteries to survive major outages uninterrupted.
