About the Position
Canada Mats is looking for a dependable Warehouse Associate to join our Abbotsford team. Your primary responsibility will be picking, packing, labelling, and preparing customer orders for shipment in a busy warehouse environment. You will also help receive inventory, unload incoming products, organize stock, and keep the warehouse safe and orderly.
Forklift experience is helpful but is not required. Training may be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
• Pick products accurately according to customer orders and pick lists.
• Verify product numbers, quantities, condition, and shipping details.
• Pack flooring and matting products securely to prevent damage in transit.
• Label and stage parcel, freight, and customer-pickup orders.
• Work efficiently to meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips.
• Put away inventory, replenish picking locations, and help maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assist with manually unloading incoming containers of matting and flooring products.
• Safely move, stack, and stage palletized inventory using a forklift when trained and authorized.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
• Support other warehouse and fulfillment duties during busy periods.
Qualifications
• Previous experience with warehouse picking, packing, shipping, or order fulfillment is preferred.
• Able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to repeatedly lift and maneuver flooring products weighing up to 50 lb or 23 kg.
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
• Forklift experience or certification is an asset but is not required.
• Willing to complete forklift training if required.
• Container-unloading experience is an asset.
• Must live within commuting distance of Abbotsford or have reliable transportation to the warehouse.
