Search Alerts
Search alerts are emails that are automatically sent when a saved search has new results.
After logging in to your account, you can click on the searches tab to view your saved searches. You turn on a search alert by clicking the box in the "alert" column.
When you sign up for a search alert you will receive a welcome email.
After that, you will receive emails based on the number of results in the last alert. A maximum of 20 results will be displayed in the email.
- The frequency of searches are based on the number of results in the last alert. Fewer results will cause more frequent searches.
- Search alerts include renewed, reposted, and edited posts if they now match the saved search.
- Search alert emails display most recent results first -- even if the saved search specifies a different sort order.
- Search alerts containing the "&" symbol will only search the text before the "&" symbol. Use boolean to modify your search results instead.
- To stop receiving alerts click "Unsubscribe from this alert" on an email. You can also login to your account and un-check the alert column or delete the search.
