Many times when I read CE, I'm merely entertained, but this concise, haiku-like posting brought back long neglected analytical skills.
[subject line = strike it rich sexy girl]
------------------
The subject line attracted my attention. The lack of punctuation intrigues me: is he looking for a "rich sexy girl" to "strike it" or is this an offer for a "sexy girl" to "strike it rich." One never knows what to expect when perusing the CE section. This one line has mercenary-S&M allusions running all through it.
I am also drawn by the gold rush imagery--I mean didn't the eighteen-forty-niners come to San Francisco to strike it rich? You can see the pick-axe and the gold-seeking man--all in the this one line! And weren't the forty-niners very similar to the the dot-comers in the nineteen-nineties? SO much imagery is packed into one line! And it loops and connects the gold rush to the dot-com era! It's the perfect San Francisco subject line.
