(AP wire)- A conversation topic was found beaten to death outside of Craigslist Missed Connections earlier today. The topic, known as "oriental" on the street, was apparently minding it's own business when it was suddenly used in a post about a woman seen at a dance club.
"But I thought Missed Connections was about long lost friends and secret crushes," the topic was heard to say just before 20 subsequent posts attacked it, beating it about the face and neck.
"Not any more," a dead horse was heard to reply. "Now it's about making some jackass comment and seeing how many regarding posts it generates. Here, I'll show you. 'What's with all the illegal immigrant dikes in this city?'"
"You misspelled 'dyke.'"
"That's so someone can write in, correct my spelling and feel superior."
"Wow, I already see a few people typing away furiously."
"Bingo."
"But one of them doesn't look like a lesbian."
"No, she's just sanctimonious."
"What's that guy writing from that anonymous hotmail address?"
"He's just e-mailing people whose posts he didn't agree with telling them to "fuck off."
"But isn't that kinda lame and cowardly."
"It passes the time while he waits for the free porn mpegs to download."
