10. Spend your free time--and if at all possible live and work--in the Castro. There is nothing of any significant value elsewhere. Besides, self-segregation is vital with such a small pool of possible m4ms.
9. Dress 5-10 years younger than you are. A child’s t-shirt and pants which are tight, and slightly worn or faded in the crotch are recommended. Remember that hair is a part of dress, so spikes, blond highlights, or full-out platinum is a must for any m4m over 30.
8. Avoid working in a formal office setting. Wherever you are, you should always be able to wear the same casual clothes. So try to get a job in a bar or restaurant. Securing employment at a department store will be best. This way, you also can be sure to get all the latest fashions for the 18-22 year-old demographic at a discount.
7. Never go anywhere alone. Being by yourself will not be interpreted as being independent or secure; it will be interpreted that you are flawed and have no ability to make friends. Also, m4ms are only interested in what someone else has, or seems to have. So always travel in twos, threes, or more.
