This subwoofer is very very powerful, and frankly too much for my room and system. I am the second owner and I don't know the age. There's a photo of the serial number if you'd like to ask JL Audio about that.

The black ash finish is an excellent shape, but with three pinprick size indentations on top that are too small to photograph. As I was preparing it to sell, I noticed a slight crackle in the volume knob. My amateur diagnosis was that the volume potentiometer needed to be cleaned. I did that with WD-40 contact cleaner, and the issue is resolved for now. But I've adjusted the price down because of this.
