Local growing manufacturing company seeking a Molding Operator/Process Technician.
JOB TITLE: Process Technician DEPARTMENT: Molding
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Operations Manager
*SECONDARY SUPERVISOR: Production Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Verify that all mold, auxiliary equipment, materials, and injection molding machines are set-up per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to meet quality standards and production goals.
• Set up and start up molding machines and check products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventative maintenance tasks, and document process changes.
• Demonstrate support through interactions with solid communication skills, attitude, dedication, commitment, respect, pride, and trust.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner while handling production material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience as a Processing Technician or equivalent preferred
• Working knowledge of mold changes, hydraulics, electrical and injection molding equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting using root cause analysis
• At least 2 years of experience in plastics processing
• Capability to lift items up to 50 pounds
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma / G.E.D.
EXPERIENCED REQUIRED: Experience working in an Injection Molding environment
SPECIAL TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS:
• Documentation
• Oral and written communication skills
• Comfort with computer use (Word, Email, on-line documents)
• Teamwork
• Ability to multitask
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Able to bend, lift, or stoop on a daily basis
