Services provided.
1. Installation of fencing (wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain-link)
Labor - $9 per linear foot
If outside of York, PA, there will be an additional mileage fee (round trip) per day. Current irs.gov rate is $0.76 per mile (round trip).
If a rock hole is encountered, there will be an additional $30 per hole. I have a 70 lb jack hammer that I have purchased to utilize to ensure proper depth/width of post hole is obtained.
I will provide you an excel spreadsheet on required materials. I will provide a free estimate.
You must provide the materials (fencing, concrete, wood/metal screws as applicable). I can get a 10% discount at Lowes/Home Depot; you will have to have me accompany you when purchase is made. I also use a local vendor for aluminum/vinyl fences (better quality and sometimes pricing).
Gates – No additional cost except for material (hinges, latches, gate support, etc.). If wood gates, Structural screws, liquid nails. If I install or custom build your wood gate, I guarantee a no sag gate (you must purchase the gate material specified for guarantee)
You are responsible for removal of excess dirt and old fence; unless you are willing to pay for disposal fee, mileage, and negotiated removal rate of $4 per linear foot.
Note: The depth of the post hole is dependent on the height of fence:
4 ft – 18-24 inches depth of post hole
6 ft – 30-36 inches depth of post hole
Concrete – 80 lb quickrete.
4 ft fence post - one 80 lb bag
6 ft fence post – two 80 lb bag
Gate hinge post:
4 ft fence:
- 3 or 4 foot gate – two bags
- 5 or 6 ft gate – three bags
6 ft fence:
- 3 or 4 foot gate – two or three bags
- 5 or 6 ft gate – four or five bags
2. Fence / Gate Repair
$60 per post.
$150 per gate.
Cost of material same as above.
Add mileage.
3. Holes
Post holes for fence:
$30 per fence post holes (18 inches to 30 inches deep; width 8-10 inches). If rock hole, add $30 per
Foundation holes for deck:
$60 per hole (36 inches deep by 24 inches wide)
5. Deck repair / Install (floating decks; not attached to house)
Labor - $8 per sq ft
6. Material delivery
You must have material delivered. Home Depot/Lowes provide delivery services for a fee
If material is purchased from my vendor, a deliver fee of $75 will be assessed.
7. Repair jobs.
$60 per post (resetting, moving to another location)
$30 to reset gates
You will provide/pay for concrete and any required material
Jobs are done from Friday thru Sunday. And sometimes holidays. I am not a contractor. Contractors do not work on weekends or holidays. Mon thru Thursday, I have a real job that I am busy with. If I have free time, I may work on additional days, depending on the size of your job.
I have references upon request.
Payment is as follows:
Cash, check, cash app (google pay or paypal; if you use debit/credit to pay, you must add 10% to cover fees; if you use payment to friend/checking account, there is no fee)
Payment is due 1st day and everyday except last day. For example. If job is for 5 days and cost is $1,770. First day payment is $354. 2nd thru 4th day, is $354. Last payment (5th) is held until job is complete.
%25 down payment of total labor required prior to job. This provides a set schedule for your job and intent to utilize my services.
If required, a written word/pdf agreement can be provided at your request.
Typical Statement of Work:
1. Survey job with customer
2. Provide estimate
3. If customer agrees to utilize my services, I will schedule in my calendar and start assisting with required fence permit
4. Customer purchases material
5. Customer schedules “call before dig” for utilities to be surveyed
6. Start work
Notional timeline
1st day – layout lines IAW fence drawing and/or deliver material (if applicable); if time permits, dig holes. If vinyl or aluminum, dig holes and install fence by section.
2nd day – dig holes (for wood fence only). If vinyl or aluminum, dig holes and install fence by section.
3rd day – install fence post (concrete). If vinyl or aluminum, continue dig holes and install fence by section
Concrete takes 1 day to set (wood fence only).
4th day – install fence horizontal rails (wood fence only). If vinyl or aluminum, continue dig holes and install fence by section
5th day – install pickets (wood fence only). If vinyl or aluminum, continue dig holes and install fence by section and/or install gates
6th / 7th day – build gates (one day to build; one day to set)
Wood gates custom build – GUARANTEED NOT TO SAG. IF I install prefab gates, and you use the specified gate hinges, GUARANTEED NOT TO SAG.
Job timeline dependent on linear foot of fence project, type of material, number of gates (custom or prefab), etc.
