Job Overview:
You will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving. Your expertise in handling flatbed loads will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Duties
Safely operate tractor-trailers following all DOT and FMCSA regulations
Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across local, regional, or OTR routes
Load and unload freight on flatbed trailers with the use of straps.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
Manage logistics cargo handling by securing loads properly and performing truck loading/unloading tasks with precision
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or safety concerns
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and over-the-road (OTR) routes
Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations and safety protocols for truck driving
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and perform manual handling tasks during loading/unloading processes
Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route management
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
