Job Description
We are a property management company seeking a dependable, mechanically capable individual to handle snow removal, vehicle maintenance, and general property maintenance at several commercial properties in the Xenia and Cincinnati area.
We are looking for someone who is resourceful, mechanically inclined, responsible, and capable of working independently without constant supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants steady supplemental income, flexible hours, and additional compensation during the winter.
Key Responsibilities
Snow Removal – $50/hour
- Perform snow removal at four commercial properties, all located within approximately 90 minutes of Dayton.
- Be available during winter storms, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when necessary.
- Ensure parking lots, driveways, entrances, and walkways are cleared promptly and safely.
- Coordinate snow removal schedules based on weather conditions and property needs.
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance – $30/hour
- Maintain company trucks and snow removal equipment in good working condition.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical repairs.
- Identify and address maintenance problems before they become costly.
- Arrange for professional repairs when necessary.
- Pick up salt, supplies, replacement parts, and other materials.
General Property Maintenance – $30/hour
- Perform miscellaneous repairs and maintenance at commercial properties.
- Handle basic mechanical, plumbing, and building maintenance tasks within your capabilities.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and property inspections.
- Coordinate with management regarding maintenance needs and completed work.
Compensation & Guaranteed Weekly Payment
We offer a unique compensation arrangement designed to provide consistent income while allowing flexibility in the workload.
- $200 guaranteed weekly payment, representing an advance against four hours of snow removal work at $50/hour.
- $50/hour for actual snow removal work.
- $30/hour for general maintenance, vehicle repairs, picking up salt, and other assigned tasks.
- Unused prepaid hours carry forward: If little or no work is required during a particular week or month, the unused prepaid hours accumulate and can be applied to work performed in subsequent weeks or months.
- Additional hours: When work exceeds the accumulated prepaid hours, additional time is compensated at the applicable hourly rate.
This arrangement provides a predictable weekly payment even during periods when there is little work, while allowing accumulated hours to be used during busier periods.
Qualifications
- Mechanically capable and comfortable maintaining trucks and equipment.
- Experience with snow removal, plowing, or similar equipment preferred.
- Ability to perform basic commercial property maintenance.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to respond promptly during winter weather.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and communicate clearly.
- Dependable, conscientious, and willing to take responsibility for keeping equipment and properties properly maintained.
