InterCultural Communications is a digital marketing agency specializing in Google-focused marketing (Google Ads, SEO, local search) and performance-focused WordPress websites. We are looking for a junior front-end web developer for a long-term, full-time role (3‑month probation, then regular hire upon good performance). This role is ideal for someone who has basic web skills and wants to grow into a professional WordPress/front-end developer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and update marketing websites using WordPress and a visual page builder (Elementor-style builder, but not Elementor itself).
- Implement designs in responsive HTML/CSS (desktop and mobile).
- Use custom post types and custom fields (e.g., Meta Box) to build dynamic website content (e.g., portfolios, service listings, locations, etc.).
- Make front-end changes based on SEO and performance requirements (e.g., headings, internal links, image optimization basics).
- Work closely with the agency owner/strategist to turn marketing requirements into web pages that “make sense” for users and for Google.
- Maintain and update existing client websites (content changes, layout adjustments, minor bug fixes).
REQUIRED
- Korean nationality or visa allowing you to legally work in South Korea (visa not provided)
- Location: Able to commute within 30–60 minutes to our office near Digital Media City (DMC), Mapo-gu, Seoul.
- Korean: Professional working proficiency (Korean work environment, communication with Korean clients/partners).
- English: Comfortable reading and discussing technical documents and marketing requirements in English.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL BASICS
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS sufficient to build simple, responsive page layouts.
- Experience building sites with WordPress (themes, plugins, basic settings).
- Familiarity with custom post types (CPT) and custom fields (e.g., Meta Box, ACF).
- Desire for a long-term position and steady growth (not a short freelance gig)
BONUS
- Basic understanding of JavaScript / PHP (can read simple scripts and make small changes).
- Experience with any modern page builders (e.g., Bricks, Oxygen, Kadence Blocks, Divi, Beaver Builder, etc.).
- Basic understanding of SEO-friendly structure (headings, meta tags, internal links, clean URLs).
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- Employment type: Contract employee (계약직 예정).
- Probation: 3-month probationary period, then conversion to regular contract position based on performance and cultural fit.
- Work style: Primarily on-site at our office near DMC (with some flexibility after probation depending on performance).
- Start date: As soon as possible (negotiable).
- Compensation: Entry-level salary, negotiable depending on skills and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch (30 hours per week)
- Flexibility: 1 remote day per week typically allowed after probationary period
- Accrued paid leave: 1.25 days per 20 days worked
- Public holidays: Paid Korean national holidays on your scheduled work days
