Experienced Handyman / Carpenter Needed for Residential Repairs
Looking for an experienced handyman / carpenter to help complete a variety of residential repairs. This is part-time, project-based work for someone with strong repair and carpentry skills who can work independently, efficiently, and with attention to quality.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on residential handyman, remodeling, or carpentry experience and is comfortable handling both exterior and interior repairs. Quality workmanship and the ability to work independently are important.
Work may include:
- Repairing sections of rotted cedar siding (section repairs, not full-length replacements)
- Repairing rotted sheathing and addressing related siding damage
- Repairing or replacing flashing
- Removing gutters as needed
- Repairing or replacing rotted fascia boards
- Hanging and finishing drywall/sheetrock
- General residential punch-list and home-maintenance repairs
Ideal candidate:
- Someone who already has a full-time job or other regular work and is looking for occasional additional hours.
- Experienced handyman/carpenter with strong residential repair skills
- Comfortable working independently on both exterior and interior projects
- Able to properly diagnose repair issues and determine an appropriate solution
- Owns reliable tools suitable for the work
- Has reliable transportation
- Dependable, organized, and professional
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and pays attention to detail
Project details:
- Part-time, project-based work
- Initial project is expected to be approximately 2–3 days, with additional work available as tasks are identified
- Materials and supplies will be provided on site
- We provide the priorities and direction; you provide the tools, experience, and workmanship
- Looking for someone who can work efficiently without needing constant supervision
Compensation:
$50 per hour, based on experience, skill level, and quality of work.
The $50/hour rate is intended for an experienced, capable handyman/carpenter who can work independently and perform quality residential repairs. Additional projects may be available as the repair list grows.
